The Tech boys basketball team defeated Little Falls 82-56 in the Section 8-3-A Quarterfinals Tuesday night. The Tigers improve to 18-9 and will play at 2nd seeded Detroit Lakes at 7 p.m. Friday night. Tech is the #3 seed in the section.

Americans are incurring more debt. St. Cloud State Economist King Banaian explained on WJON Monday that debts levels are returning to 2019 levels. He says the pandemic of 2020 influenced many people's spending.

The boys basketball section playoffs start tonight with a section 8-4-A play-in game between 9th seeded Sartell-St. Stephen and #8 Elk River. The Sabres play at Elk River at 7 p.m. The winner gets top seeded Rogers Wednesday in Rogers.
Girls Basketball Section Playoff Results Thursday February 29
Cathedral girls basketball earned a 44-33 win over Kimball in the Section 6AA first round playoffs Thursday night. Ella Voit led Cathedral with 16 points, 7 boards, 4 steals and 2 assists.
St. Cloud’s Spann-Ford To Participate at the NFL Scouting Combine Friday
The NFL Scouting Combine workouts start today and run thru Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. St. Cloud Tech graduate, Sauk Rapids native and former Gopher, Brevyn Spann-Ford is expected to take the field when tight ends and defensive backs are run through drills and activities Friday.

The Sartell-St. Stephen girls basketball team stayed alive in the Section 8-4-A playoffs by defeating 5th seeded Moorhead 62-44 Wednesday night. The Sabres are seeded #4 in the section and will play at top seeded St. Michael-Albertville Saturday at 2 p.m.
Sartell’s River Crossing Development Expected to Fill Up in 2024
Commercial growth in Sartell along the Highway 15 corridor continues. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum expects the River Crossing Development to fill up in 2024. He says they have 4 to 5 lots available in the development.
Cathedral Coach Receives State Award
Cathedral's Theresa Schultz has been named the 2023 Cross Country Class A Assistant Coach of the Year.
