Supermarket Sweep is Coming Back to ABC
One of my favorite shows to watch back in the early 90’s is making a comeback. "Supermarket Sweep", a reboot of the classic game show is currently in the works and the person that is it set to host and will be the executive producer and her name is Leslie Jones .
Comedian Leslie Jones, she shared this news back in September after confirming that she was leaving "Saturday Night Live" after five seasons to pursue other projects. The high energy grocery shopping show that was aired on ABC from 1965 to 1967 and was later revived on other networks during the 1990s, will be back on ABC, Deadline reported recently.
“I’ve always dreamed of being on 'Supermarket Sweep',” Jones said in a statement. “Seriously, I tried out for the show years ago; and after getting turned away, I knew I’d have to take matters into my own hands. Being able to bring the iconic game show back to life on ABC is my ultimate redemption story!”
I remember feeling the pressure watching this show as the contestants raced through the grocery store ripping through the store on two wheels as they raced to the finish line. I bet the fans are all jazzed up about this reboot, ABC hasn’t announced when the show will be back on TV.
