St. Cloud has 100 parks and we at WJON are examining the history of these parks. Today we are looking at Friedrich Park and Talahi Woods on the southeast side of town. Friedrich Park is named for former St. Cloud State Biology Professor George W. Friedrich.

A number of homeless encampments have popped in on various public locations in the city of St. Cloud recently. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis joined me on WJON to address the issue. A WJON listener expressed concern about an encampment on the east side of the St. Germain bridge in St. Cloud. Mayor Kleis says the city certainly doesn't want any encampments.

The more than a foot of snow in the St. Cloud area this week has caused residents to dig out driveways and sideways. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis joined me on WJON. He says the city ordinance requires residents to clean off sidewalks within 24 hours of the completion of the snowfall event.
