Downtown St. Cloud has positive momentum. That's the thought of St. Cloud Community Development Director Matt Glaesman. He says there are 27 new businesses open downtown and calls it "great news".
A move to add additional multi-family housing is taking place in St. Cloud. St. Cloud Community Development Director Matt Glaesman joined me on WJON. He explains the planned multi-family housing development along Cooper Avenue South across from Coborns is a Torborg property. Glaesman says the development would be two buildings in the first phase of the project.

The City of St. Cloud has relocated their City Hall to the old Tech High School building. When the city took on the old high school building they also took on the media services building along Division Street/Highway 23. The building continues to be up for sale.

The old Technical High School building is being converted into the new City Hall and the old Tech High School media center will go on sale within the next couple months. St. Cloud City Planner Matt Glaesman says they have taken public input from those in the neighborhood and that input has been considered into the plan for that property.
