The City of St. Cloud continues to work with the Lincoln Center in regards to the homeless encampment located on the Lincoln Center property. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis addressed a listener call on WJON's Radio Town Hall Meeting Friday morning. He says nothing has changed in the past 2 weeks in regards to this.

The summer drought impacted Central Minnesota and that includes St. Cloud. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis says we're back to being in the normal level and are no longer at the emergency level. He says they've been out of the emergency level for quite awhile and the rain we've had in the last couple of months has really helped.

Giving someone a ticket for running a red light without a police officer witnessing the offense is still not legal in Minnesota. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis says he'd like to see this change and he and St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson have been actively lobbying for this change at the state legislature.

St. Cloud is planning to resurface more than 20 miles of roads in 2022. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis says this is the most they've done in the city since they've kept track of this over the past 20-plus years.

In June the St. Cloud City Council approved a pilot parking plan that encourages parking in the downtown parking garages. The pilot program runs through the end of 2021 and allows for parking in downtown parking garages for free nights after 5 p.m.
