Thursday was National Pancake Day. Most people enjoy the treat that is associated with breakfast. On the surface, it’s hard to mess up making pancakes, but some places excel at making the flat surfaced food.

I wanted to find out where people in Central Minnesota went for their favorite pancakes.

Zachary said that Donna Big Johns Drive-In in Little Falls. He says that you’ll get pancakes the size of your plate. Now who wouldn’t love that? Zach says it’s a must try for sure.

Speaking of a place that serves pancakes the size of your plate, my wife Kim and granddaughter Lexi both said Clearwater Travel Plaza is the place to go.

Not to be outdone, Brigitte’s Cafe in St. Cloud was nominated by Carolyn who provided us a picture of young lady in front of a plate completely covered by pancakes topped with whipped cream and fruit.  The picture helped add the exclamation point.

Michelle chimed with Patriots Cafe in Swanville is her go to spot for pancakes.

Rene wasn’t picky with a pancake place, but she targets a certain flavor with her pancakes. She says that any place that serves a bacon and cheese omelet with hashbrowns alongside pancakes is her type of place.

There were a couple of folks who touted their kitchen is the best place you can turn for pancakes:

Kenneth says that they still use the 1954 Betty Crocker Cookbook for winning pancakes every time.

Lynette also said she was proud of the pancakes she makes, but when she wants some else to do the cooking, her go to is Perkins.

If you enjoy pancakes, maybe this will help you find a new spot to try the next time you have the craving.
