The bad news, is that Woodstock 50 -to be held in Watkins Glen, NY -has been cancelled. Organizers of Woodstock 50 said: " We don't believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock brand name."

The good news, is that you can still take in the vibe of the REAL original Woodstock that was held at Max Yasgur's farm in Bethel, NY. Bethel Woods had originally planned a 3-day festival as well. They've now turned that into "A Season of Song and Celebration" with events happening all summer long. During Woodstock Anniversary Week, there will be screenings of the Woodstock Documentary. Plus concerts by Ringo Starr, Arlo Guthrie, Santana, The Doobie Brothers, John Fogerty and more. You can read more about Bethel Woods and what they have planned all summer long here.

I'm wondering if they'll put more emphasis on the Woodstock Anniversary now that the other venue has cancelled? Stay tuned.....
