Are These the Four Scariest Haunted Attractions in Central Minnesota?
There are several indicators that we’re halfway through October. First, the weather has been cooling off of late, that's normally proof that we’re in last quarter of the year.
Also, high school football is entering the last week of the regular season. And you don’t have to look far to see Halloween decorations in people’s yards and on their houses.
If you are one that gets into scary side of this time of year, you’ll want to pay attention to this. I saw Facebook post over the weekend, someone asking “what is the best haunted attraction within two hours of St. Cloud? “
Four locations from around the area got the most responses from people in Central Minnesota, if you’re wondering where you’d be most entertained/scared, here’s where you should go.
“Harvest of Horrors Hayride” in St. Augusta- This attraction will be open the next two Fridays and Saturdays, tickets are sold each night until 10:45 pm. If you are in line by 10:45, you will be guaranteed a ride.
Tickets range from $30 to $35 for General Admission. There is a “Fast Pass” that sells from $50 to $55. They accept cash and credit cards, keep in mind that credit cards have a 3% fee that comes along with it.
Parents can bring their children if they choose, but this is a scary environment. If you don’t handle sudden startling situations, you are urged not to try this hayride.
“Molitor’s Haunted Acres- “2024 Walk Through Horror”. This haunted attraction will be operating on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend and next.
You will be walking so wear comfortable shoes. Keep in mind the trail could be muddy, and the trail may be uneven. Due to the contour of the land, strollers, walkers and wagons are not allowed. Kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. There are other rules you’ll want to review before buying your tickets.
Ticket prices are $65 for the Fast Pass and the general admission ranges from $32 to $37.
“The Deadend Hayride” in Wyoming Minnesota- Starting Wednesday, this hayride will be open each night through November 2nd. The popularity of this attraction means it operates by using timed ticketing. The time that you reserve is the time you should arrive and not necessarily the time you will begin.
Ticket prices range from $12 to $36 for general admission and $21 to $53 for the fast pass.
“Wicked Woods” in Royalton will be open the following days in October, the 18th and 19th, 25th and 26th as well as November 1st and 2nd.
As before, you’ll need to wear the proper shoes for walking a trail.
