Believe It Or Not, Minnesota Ranks 2nd in the Best Healthcare in 2017
Complain about healthcare here in Minnesota all you want, but unfortunately we have nearly the best healthcare in all the United States.
Healthcare is a touchy subject as it costs us Minnesotans a ton of money each year, with crazy high deductibles, but you may be hard-pressed to find a better area of the country to get more appealing healthcare options!
The folks at WalletHub just released their 2017 "Best & Worst States for Healthcare" and Minnesota ranks 2nd best in the entire United States.
They determined the results based on 35 measures of cost, accessibility and outcome related to healthcare in each state. Each of 3 were 33.33% of the results.
So who had the best results in the entire country? Odd enough it was the most expensive state to live in - Hawaii with a 67.36 score. Minnesota tied for 2nd with Iowa with a 66.62 score. Coming in absolute last was Louisiana with a score of 38.95.
The U.S. is in a transition of the healthcare system once again, with Obamacare slowly seeing it's fate. President Trump is pushing hard for a new healthcare system that is more beneficial and affordable for Americans. We'll see if that changes how Minnesota is scored once that new system is put into place!
