Brooke Ziwicki Is Our Teacher Of The Week!

As the school year winds down, stopping by area schools to honor a teacher each week will soon come to an end. But the excitement of the classroom surprise isn't over just yet!

This week, our Teacher of the Week is Brooke Ziwicki! Brooke is a special education teacher at Monticello High School. Here's what Donna Niemi, grandparent of one of Brooke's students, had to say:

Brooke has been my granddaughters teacher since last year at the Monticello High School. The neat part is that Brooke was also her teacher through most of her elementary school years. Even after transitioning to middle school, Ciara was elated to run into Brooke out in the community or see her in passing. She has become a family friend of my daughters and a great resource for the family. My granddaughter Ciara absolutely loves her teacher. It was the best news to hear that she would get to graduate this year with Brooke as her teacher. Being a special education teacher can't be easy and working with children and adults with disabilities myself in the past it can be very emotionally draining. I can't think of another teacher more deserving. Thank you, Donna Niemi
