Elevated Fire Danger Today
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect from Noon today through 7 PM tonight for dangerous fire weather conditions across most of Minnesota.
National Weather Service
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
From the National Weather Service this morning: Warm, dry, and breezy conditions today will lead to an elevated fire risk across much of the area. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for all but the southern portion of Minnesota. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
