Fire Danger Extremely High this Afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect through 8 PM tonight for dangerous fire weather conditions across across west central Minnesota including Stearns County.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

From the National Weather Service this afternoon: Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
