Leatherman Recalls Widely Sold Multi-use Tool Product
One thing is for sure about Central Minnesotans, we love our tools. For many who have farms, tools are an everyday part of what keeps the place going. And there are many who work on their own vehicles as well, and of course, they are dependent on tools too.
The tools we use can come in many different shapes and sizes but it’s not always possible to have every tool you might need with you at all times. One of the best inventions ever is the small multi-use tools that you can hook on to your pants or drop in your pocket.
The tools can serve as the answer for nearly any smaller project you might encounter.
Leatherman has been a leader in this field for quite a while now because of the quality and durability of the products they produce.
But the company recently recalled their Leatherman Charge Plus and the Charge Plus TTi multi-tools due to an issue with the blade on the knife.
What's The Issue?
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that the tip of the knife doesn’t fit into the tool’s body the way it should and creates a laceration hazard. Luckily there have been no reports of injuries to this point and the company is trying to keep it that way.
Over 17,000 of this product line were sold in multiple stores and online. The Charge Plus comes in black and stainless-steel colors and has a black MOLLE or a black nylon sheath.
Leatherman says they will repair the tools that fall under the recall. To find out if your Leatherman Charge tool needs repaired, go to www.leatherman.com/pages/charge-recall and learn more.
