Minnesota Woman Recognized For Her Work In Trucking
When you think about unsung heroes, who do you think of? Teachers come to mind for me. Our troops, law enforcement and emergency services members are also at the top of the list as well.

One group that we all should recognize for their efforts is truck drivers. A lot of the products that we use daily are moved around the country in the back of a truck. As the old saying goes, truckers keep America moving.
When we think about truck drivers, most of us think about a man behind the wheel, but we really should be more opening minded. According to Google, 12% of American truck drivers are women.
Did you know that there is a Non-Profit organization that helps women who want to get into the trucking industry? Women In Trucking has the goal of promoting women within the industry along with helping remove obstacles that are presented for ladies who want to take the wheel or take another role to help move goods from one place to another.
Women In Trucking also makes it a priority to celebrate the success women have in the industry. Their website contains resources that help women achieve their highest successes possible.
The Minnesota Trucking Association recently celebrated a Minnesota woman for her contributions to her company. Kat Guerrero is the Corporate Procurement Manager for Rihm Family Companies, and she was recognized as a “Top Woman to Watch in Transportation” by Redefining the Road Magazine.
The Magazine is the official magazine for the Woman in Trucking Association.
If you have an interest in getting behind the wheel, there are a number of truck driving schools around the state including 160 Driving School in Waite Park.
