Former Vikings Quarterback Back On Netflix Show
I don’t want to wish the summer away, because I truly enjoy it. But it’s not my favorite season, that would FOOTBALL SEASON BABY! (Sorry, I didn’t mean to scream).
I have a saying that GOD put football season where he did so we could get over the fact that summer was gone. For many fans, as much fun as the summer brings us, as I wrote last week, we’re quietly counting down to football season.

The folks at Netflix know this as well, and they’re getting set to drop to the newest season of their football focused show called “Quarterback”.
The show follows three NFL quarterbacks throughout the course of the season. In the first season, former Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Kirk Cousins was featured on the show in what turned out to be his last season in Minnesota.
Well, he’s back again this season as well. This time for his current team, the Atlanta Falcons.
Most Vikings fans remember the separation Cousins had from the Purple and Gold, and the trailer for the new season, which hits Netflix Tuesday July 8th, teases Cousins and his wife Julie talking about the reasons they made the move.
Most Vikings fans also remember how the 2024 season ended for Cousins, on the bench being replaced by Michael Penix Jr., the quarterback Atlanta drafted after signing Cousins.
In season 1 of the show, Cousins, I felt, gave great insight to who he was off the field and on, which may be one of the reasons Vikings fans felt so spurned by him heading south. From the trailer of the show, it looks like we’ll get a good look behind the curtain that is Kirk's life and I’m curious to see him talk about the drafting of another quarterback and then being replaced by that player.
Kirk Cousins will share the “Quarterback” spotlight with Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions and Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Interesting Note About The Show
One side note, this is the second straight year the Atlanta Falcons have been featured on the show, and the second year they’ve had a quarterback replaced in that season. I can’t help but wonder if they’ll have cameras following their signal caller this upcoming season?
Minnesota Stereotypes...or Not? What are some of the things that are a stereotype, but also true?
