District 742

The Local Education & Activities Foundation known as LEAF is once again holding an Adopt-A-Classroom project.

St. Cloud School District 742 underwent numerous building construction projects this summer. The projects are wrapping up with school set to start next week. Superintendent Laurie Putnam joined me on WJON.

St. Cloud School District 742 has a couple of major building projects going on this summer. Apollo High School is having roof work done, upgrades to their auditorium and bathrooms and a reconfiguration to their parking lot.

Public schools in Minnesota are dependent on state funding. St. Cloud School Superintendent Laurie Putnam joined me on WJON. She says the current base formula is $7,138 per student. Putnam says they also get different pockets of compensatory money from the State depending on the amount of students who qualify.

St. Cloud School District 742 have staff and students who have received awards recently. I talked with St. Cloud School Superintendent Laurie Putnam on WJON to talk about upcoming graduation plans and she highlighted some achievements from both staff and students.

At Wednesday's school board meeting, the St. Cloud Area School District will begin the process of determining next year’s budget.

With spring almost here, St. Cloud Area School District 742 is putting the finishing touches on graduation for the 2022-2023 school year.

Dr. Melissa Hanzsek-Brill created a line of kits called PACCAT, or Parents and Children Counting A Lot Together, in cooperation with the St. Cloud Area School District.
