EDEN VALLEY -- The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says around 14,000 Mink from the Lang Farms LLC remain unaccounted for.

As of right now, they've found 11,000 mink alive, and 15,000 mink dead. Thursday we told you about Fur Commission USA offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest and conviction.

That award goes along with the $1,000 reward offered by Tri-County Crimestoppers.

Sheriff Don Gudmunson recently referred to the vandals as "nitwits" who are more concerned with creating chaos than protecting the animals. The Sheriff also says he's looking into the domestic terrorism angle.

The Lang Farm reported sometime between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 5:30 a.m. Monday a person or group of people burglarized the Eden Lake farm, releasing mink from their cages and damaging sections of fencing around the farm. The total loss is over $750,000.

If you have any information, contact the Stearns County Sheriff's Office at 320-251-4240 or Tri-County Crimestoppers at 1-800-255-1301.

The Lang family has been raising mink since 1936.
