Ahh, technology. It’s designed to make our lives easier, and in many respects, it has. But has it also made us lazy too?

It’s a fair question, and if you stop and think about it, I bet you’ll be able to think of at least a few things that you do regularly that doesn’t require as much effort as it used it.

When we upgrade phones, in some cases we have to go through the process of setting up quick access to the information we store there.

The same thing for our computers, we’ll climb a one-time set of steps that stores our information, so we don’t have to go through all of those steps every time we sign on.

And all that is safe and responsible to do, right?

Well, according to Tech Expert, Kim Komando, not really.

She was pushing what is called a “dedicated password manager”, and it just so happens there’s one in particular that she recommends.  If you’re curious about which one, a simple search will lead you to it.

But I thought her point was a good one. Should we really be allowing these companies, who at some point in time in the past have had their own issues with security, to have the “hot pass” to our most sensitive information?

Kim Komando pointed out that the “save your password” step that most of us accept from the online browser we use, makes it very easy for someone to find our information that could be compromised if they just simply get access to our keyboards.

My hope is that you at least stop and think about how you are securing your information, like I’m doing. Maybe a dedicated password manager is the way to go? Now, if we only knew someone trustworthy that could recommend one for us.

Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.
