It seems more so now than ever, people become divided over someone else’s views or beliefs. I remember a time when people could agree to disagree and still get along. They would just stay away from the topic that caused division.

I recently, accidentally stumbled upon one of those topics. I was stopped in the hallway here at work by a co-worker that asked me this question: do you make your bed as soon as you get up or do you leave it unmade and crawl back inside the way you left it.

My response was “I get up at 3am, my wife is still sleeping, so I can’t make the bed”. Well, I guess I could, but that probably wouldn’t go over very well.

So, I threw that question out to our listeners on our mobile app and social media sites, and quickly realized there are primarily two types of people out there.

The “make the bed first thing” people and the “heck no” people.

Carolyn and Missy, each said first thing in the morning. I envision them bouncing out of bed and making everything tidy before they do anything else because they were so emphatic to say, “first thing in the morning”.

Christina was also in the “get it done” category when she said, “right away”, like her day won’t start off correctly if she doesn’t.

On the other side of the coin, we’ve got the “heck no” folks. Paul and Renee were led a group of people who used those exact words. Others fall into that side of things but were less inclined to put as much emphasis on it.

Honestly, I didn’t think this would be such a hot button issue, but I guess maybe we’re so inclined to take a stand these days, I shouldn’t be surprised.
