Central Minnesota’s Newest Restaurant Features Culture and Flavor
This weekend will be your first chance to savor the flavors of the area’s newest restaurant, Mie Bistro and Boba. Mie, pronounced Me, offers a variety of flavors with Middle Eastern, Persian and Greek influence.
If you are in a hurry, you can get good food fast instead of having to settle for fast food. Each order is made when you tell the staff what you want, and a lot of the ingredients are fresh.
You can choose from Sandwiches or Gyros. Bahn Mi sandwiches are served on a baguette and filled with vegetables and sauces, and I must say, these are quite delicious, as are the Gyros. And yes, I have sampled them both.
Mie also offers platters; Chicken Kebab, Chicken Tikka, and Gyro. Each platter comes with your choice of rice or hummus.
A lot of people like to eat their meals in the form of a bowl because they can be easier to eat, and Mie offers you bowl options as well. These include vermicelli noodles, veggies, your choice of soy sauce fish sauce on either grilled lamb, grilled chicken, or gyro.
If you’re wanting a snack or want to add to your order, you’ve got options; spring rolls, egg rolls, shrimp rolls, or cream cheese wontons.
There are a variety of delicious sauces available for the meal choices at Mie.
Now for the Boba part of Mie Bistro and Boba, all their Boba products are authentic sent from Taiwan. Choose from the seven boba flavors currently on the menu that can be added to your milk tea, fruit teas or chia. There are seven different flavors of Milk Teas, and five flavors of fruit teas.
If you love Boba, the staff at Mie says they’ll offer the most authentic boba flavors in the area will be served there.
There are a few more drink options at Mie, four fruit flavored smoothies (passion fruit, peach, strawberry, and triple berry) and four specialty drinks, with the topping included, brown sugar goodness, Oreo blast, super fruit tea, and triple berry fruit tea).
Another unique offering at Mie will be offering are the snacks from different cultures that are difficult to get in the Central Minnesota area.
The soft opening for Mie is this weekend, and our radio station Mix 94.9 will be broadcasting Saturday from 12-2. This is a great opportunity to do as I’ve done, and sample some of the items on the menu and get to know your newest restaurant neighbor.
