I've recently been having some discussions with area women about the lack of general information about women's health. It might seem crazy in this day and age, but going through the various stages as you age is often not talked about within families, or worse yet, always talked about in a negative way.  Eric Ngoue wants to help area women change that narrative, and talk openly about their experiences and share knowledge that should be out in the open; not hidden behind closed doors like a dirty secret.

WOMEN NEED TO TALK OPENLY AND COME TOGETHER REGARDING HEALTH

Erica is a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist who works for CentraCare and wants to open the door for women to come together and talk about the different stages of life. Things like what to expect when you become pregnant for the first time, how your body feels before, during, and after pregnancy. What about the baby blues? How about your later years? Who knew that symptoms from Menopause don't just last a few months, but can last an entire lifetime for older women?

CHALLENGE YOURSELF TO  HELP OTHER WOMEN

Debra Leigh, the Vice President of Equity and Inclusion from St Cloud Technical and Community College, also wants to challenge women to change the way they talk about themselves, and start talking to each other about what really happens to a woman's body through life.
