When it comes to the economy, supply and demand are at the heart of how things work. Filling the hole for the demand for a product usually works well for companies who can identify something the marketplace currently doesn’t have or have enough of.

I’ve noticed somewhat of an issue with a product my wife uses regularly, Fairlife Milk.

What Separates This Milk From Others?

This product owned by the Coca-Cola company is considered a hit among those who struggle to consume regular milk products. Fairlife is unfiltered milk that is high in protein and easier for its customers to drink.

Of course, Fairlife isn’t the only milk product like this on the market, but it is becoming a favorite. But there’s one problem, they can’t seem to make enough of it.

My wife can and will drink other products similar to this, but Fairlife is her favorite and yesterday I’ve had to go to two different stores before I found the 2% version she drinks. And when I found it, I got the second to last one on the shelf.

And this isn’t the first time I’ve noticed Central Minnesota stores have had a “shortage”, if you will, of Fairlife. The last few times I’ve struggled to find the 2% version my wife drinks; I couldn’t find any of the other versions they offer either.

The website Bullvine says that there are many others like my wife who favor Fairlife and that is part of the problem. Thus far, Fairlife sales have already exceeded one billion dollars; they just need to make more of it.

Resolution Is Coming, Just How Soon?

Coca Cola has announced plans to open a state-of-the-art facility in Webster, New York that will span 745,000 square feet. The company is committing $650 million to the facility that is set to open later this year, which they hope will then allow them to capture the popularity of this product.

So, if you or someone you know has Fairlife products on their list, and you see them in the stores, you may want to buy them or run the risk of having to shuffle around from store to store in search of what appears to be the most popular milk around.
