The Changing Of The Seasons Is A Good Time Donate In Minnesota
This may be the best weather week of the year. The temps into the 70’s during the day, and just a little bit of a nip in the air in the morning. Depending on the wind, because we all know in Central Minnesota most of the time the weather is made worse because of the wind. Take this past Saturday and Sunday for instance, the gusts blowing around made it hard to be outside.
And because of the wind, and some cooler temps a lot of folks have been digging into their closets to drag out their jackets, hoodies, or sweatshirts. If you’re one of those folks who have been bringing out thicker outer wear, now is a good time to do an evaluation of the things you have to see how many of those things you feel you’ll actually wear this winter.

How You Can Help Make A Difference For Others
I’d say a lot of us probably have a few items in our closets that we’ll likely not wear that could help impact someone else, especially with winter coming.
The fall of the year is a great time to donate clothes to thrift stores or charitable organizations so they can be ready for the demands that winter is sure to bring.
If you plan to donate to an organization that helps those in need, such as the Salvation Army, please make sure what you donate is clean and in good condition. The Salvation Army cannot accept items that are stained or torn, or that have offensive language on them.
If you’ve got kids, this is also a perfect time to realize what they can’t wear anymore and donate to help those who might need a helping hand, which seems to be magnified during the winter.
The Salvation Army in St. Cloud can only accept winter coats, they do not accept clothing at this time. But if you donate coats, they need to be clean and in good condition.
As we’re shifting gears from one season to the next, try to take some time and see if you can lighten the load in your closet and help someone who needs a dose of generosity.
