Two Opportunities For Minnesotans To See Inspiring Singer
The last week in America has been tough for a lot of people. So many have found themselves not sure how or what to feel about the events that have transpired in our country. Some of those folks have found themselves searching for answers or at least comfort in a very troubling time.
For some it was a desperate feeling, and that word may have gone into their searches online for some direction, and it’s likely they were led to a song that has been sweeping the country, at least on social media accounts called “Desperate” by Jamie MacDonald.
I found the song recently when it appeared in my Instagram feed as a short video. I had never heard of the artist before. After listening to the clip a few times, I needed to hear the whole song. From beginning to end it was as powerful as the clip that I first watched.

I’ve been really working on my faith and my walk with GOD and to be honest, there have been a number of frustrating times that have come from my efforts, and this song spoke and said a lot of things I had been praying.
MacDonald added a version of the song with an artist who has reached “star” status not just in the Contemporary Christian world, but on the Pop charts as well, Lauren Daigle. Their voices just blended in such a way that the song hits new heights. After hearing this song, I wanted to hear more from Jamie MacDonald and through that I heard her story where she talks about working through tough parts of her childhood and then finding herself in a bad situation as an adult that left her seeking a change.
Shows In Minnesota
It’s a powerful story from a powerful singer and she is coming to Minnesota later this year and in 2026. The show this year will be November 11th at Grace Fellowship in Brooklyn Park with Benjamin William Hastings. Get tickets here.
Jamie MacDonald will be a special guest part of Phil Wickham’s “Song of the Saints” tour next year. They’ll be playing Target Center on May 13th. Tickets are slated to go on sale in October.
Jamie MacDonald has struck a chord with many people not just with the song “Desperate”, but other songs and her story as well. Maybe you want to check you calendar to see if you can make one of the two shows that are upcoming in Minnesota.?
