As a father of a son and a daughter, I know that when it comes to all 'days' that are celebrated, Father’s Day is just kind of there. Just like many other ‘days’, us dads get one as well. But it doesn’t rank very high on that list, and I really have no problem with it. Memorial Day, Mother’s Day, etc., are all higher and they should be. I feel that dad's get many 'Father's Days' throughout the year, they just don't come with cards or gifts.

Speaking of gifts, times have changed when it comes to what kind of gifts dads get for Father’s Day. Ties are no longer the popular thing to get for a father. I can't even remember the last time I heard of a dad getting a tie for Father's Day. I personally have never received one as a gift. But maybe that's just me. What about you? What do you think is a popular Father's Day gift? Let us know.

We poll Central Minnesotans -- our co-workers and friends -- anyone that we can (while practicing social distancing of course). We tally everyone's responses, and those answers make up the 'board.' Then we play "Survey Said" on Friday mornings at 7:45.

Call into the River studio at 320-258-3738 to play. You have to give us THREE of the top answers on the board before getting THREE strikes. If you do, you win a pair of passes to have some fun at Riddler's Escape. It's similar to the Feud, and if you have watched that game show, you can play. Even if you haven't watched it, you can play. It's not that hard.

Here's an example of how we play the game.
