Wal-Mart Water Bottle Recall Could Impact Minnesotans
Water bottles, not the plastic kind we buy in a convenience store, but those that we call water bottles that can have practically any beverage we want inside, their popularity is as strong as they’ve ever been.
You see them with your co-workers, people carrying them when they go shopping, and many other places. And some of these water bottles can be quite pricey, that’s why Wal-Mart is a popular place for people to shop for their water bottles.
Late last week, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission released a recall of water bottle brand that sold over 850,000 in the United States.

What's The Problem With These Water Bottles?
Ozark Trail brand 64oz. Bottles were recalled because the screw on lid can forcefully eject itself posing what the Consumer Product Safety Commission calls the risk of serious impact and laceration risks when the user attempts to open the capped bottle.
This may not sound like a big deal, but Wal-Mart says they have received three reports of this happening and sadly in two of those cases two of those people suffered permanent vision loss after being struck in the eye.
The bottle that is included in the recall is the 64-ounce stainless steel insulated sold under model number 83-662. The bottles are stainless steel with a black screw on lid. The brand name Ozark Trail will be printed on the bottle, and the model number will be on the packaging but not on the bottle itself. The measurements of the bottles are 4.41x4.41x11.5 inches.
What Is The Resolution For This Situation?
If you own one of these bottles, you need to contact Wal-Mart for a full refund. You will be able to take your bottle back to Wal-Mart to complete the refund. These bottles were sold in store and online for around $15 starting in 2017.
