Important Things To Know Before Going To A Vikings Game
Football season is officially back. Even though the games that really count haven’t started yet, the season is underway. Coaches are trying to trim down their rosters to the 53 positions the NFL says they can have. Players are trying to earn one of those coveted spots or at worst, make the practice squad.
Fans are also getting ready; planning their tailgates or viewing parties while they’re making sure they’ve got the team gear that shows their pride in the Vikings. And some are planning their visit to cheer on the Vikings at US Bank Stadium.
If you’ve got tickets or hoping to get tickets to an upcoming game, here are some things you need to know so that the experience is the best it can be and may save you some extra steps and some frustration.

One of the biggest things to know is there is a limit to the size of bag you can bring into the stadium. The NFL has strict policies on what fans can bring into the stadium, as some folks sitting next to us on Saturday found out when they had to make a trip back to the car which caused them to run behind.
The size limits are 12” x 6” x 12” and can be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC. The team store will have approved bags with team logos on them if you need one.
You can also bring a one-gallon freezer bag, like a Ziploc type bag.
A small clutch bag that is 4.5” x 6.5” can also be carried into US Bank Stadium.
The only exception would be a medical device and that will only be allowed after thorough inspection.
Items That Will No Be Allowed Into US Bank Stadium
You will not be allowed to bring:
A purse bigger than a clutch with the size listed above
Backpacks
Brief Cases
Luggage of any type
Seat Cushions
Stollers
Camera Bags
Diaper Bags
Any bag that is outside of the size guidelines.

Other Things To Keep In Mind When Going To A Vikings Game
You will be searched, and your items will be scanned as well. Safety is the most important thing for everyone attending the game.
Keep in mind that visiting US Bank Stadium will be a cashless experience. Even their “split the pot” raffle requires using a card. There are plenty of concession and team gear locations around the stadium, just know you’ll need your debit or credit card.
One More Thing
Another tip, give yourself plenty of time to get to your seats so you don’t want to miss anything, especially if you’ve never been to the stadium before or you have smaller children you’re bringing with you.
There are plenty of stadium employees there to help you if you need them.
Hopefully this information helps you in planning your visit to US Bank Stadium.
