If that job you’ve been hoping for hasn’t happened yet, maybe this is the one you. Stearns County is looking for 9-1-1 dispatchers. In this role you could earn up to $75,795 per year. This position could play up to $36.44 per hour.
Did that get your attention? So, what qualifications do you have to have to be considered for one of these positions? The basic qualifications are:
- Be a High School Graduate or its Equivalent
- One year of post-secondary education in a related field and have seven months in a call center, multi-task-oriented retail, restaurant service or similar field OR two years seven months of progressively related experience in a call center, multi-task-oriented retail, restaurant or similar field
- Be able to type 40 words per minute
Preferred qualifications are:
- Experience in dispatching with Police, Fire or Ambulance with a City, County or State Agency
- Public Safety Work as a Community Services Officer, Police Officer, Volunteer Fire Fighter, or Paramedic.
Stearns County is also looking for Corrections Officers with a pay that could reach $40.18 per hour plus hiring incentives up to $5,000. The minimum requirements for this position are:
- Be a High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Have a valid Minnesota Driver's License or be able to get one in 30 days
Preferred Qualifications are:
- Some experience in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice or similar fields
- If you have corrections, military or similar experience you could qualify for lateral pay.
