It hasn’t felt or looked much like spring even though it is. It is baseball season, even though Twins fans will be dressing like they're going to an outdoor Vikings game at the home opener this week.

And despite the fact that it is baseball season, many eyes and ears are still focused on the Vikings and where they stand with Aaron Rogers, and for some people that focus has only stirred the absence of football in their lives.

If you are missing football, don’t forget about the team in Minnesota that plays in the spring, the Minnesota Vixen.

The Vixen plays in the WFA, Women’s Football Aliance. If you’re not familiar, they play against teams from around the country. The Vixen is in the WFA PRO division which features teams from California, Nebraska, Washington DC, St. Louis, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, and Nevada.

Their regular season runs from late April until early June. The home games for the Vixen are played at Kuhlman Field at Edina High School and tickets are on sale now. You can buy either single game tickets or take advantage of their season ticket option.

Tuesday was a big day for the Vixen organization, the unveiled their rookies getting their numbers. No matter what level you played organized sports at, getting your number was always a special day.

So, while we’re sitting around waiting on Mother Nature to remember what time of year this really is, The Minnesota Vixen is getting ready to kick off their season on April 26th at home against the Nebraska Pride, and they’ll try to improve on their 4-2 record from last year.
