A Fruitful Week Indeed!

Last week was another fruitful week for lottery players in Minnesota. The Minnesota Lottery says that there were over 416,900 winners across the state.

There were a lot of folks around Minnesota that pocketed a thousand bucks toward their summer vacation.  

Lottery officials say that over seven point two million dollars was scratched-off last week. Including five ten-thousand-dollar winners and one person who claimed five grand. 

A Closer Look At Some Of The Winnings!

The “Sapphire 7” ticket netted one lucky Minnesotan $17,777 in Baxter and the winnings just went up from there.  

JE Roseville Gas sold a thirty-thousand-dollar ticket on a “Campfire Crossword” scratch off ticket.  

The Kwik Trip in Rochester sold a "Diamond Riches" scratcher that landed the person who bought it $50,000. A Casey’s in Alexandria sold a $50 “Casino Millions” ticket that wound up being worth $50,000 as well. Players in Moorehead and Egan also won $50,000 on a “Diamond Riches” and a “20X scratch card”.  

The Paulbeck’s County Market in Aitken had a $200,000 winner on a ten-dollar “Six Figures” card.  

That wasn’t the biggest single take last week on scratch off tickets in Minnesota. A player in Little Canada won $300,000 on a “Treasure Hunt Crossword” to start the week. 

Someone in Fridley turned a $20 ticket “Magnificent 7” into $500,000 on May 14th. I’d say that is a nice return on investment, wouldn’t you? 

 

Are You Holding Onto A Powerball Ticket?

 If you’re feeling a little down that you weren’t one of the people adding money to your checking account, you might want to check any older tickets you might have lying around. 

The Minnesota Lottery says that there is around $450,000 in unclaimed winnings from the Powerball Lottery. The winning tickets were sold at a Speedway in White Bear Lake last June that has won $100,000. 

The Kwik Trip 681 in St. Michael and the Kwik Trip 804 in Albert Lea each sold tickets that have $50,000 in unclaimed money each. One was sold in January of this year, and the other on February 1st.  

The Winners Corner in Newport sold two winning tickets, one for $27,000 in January and one for over $118,000 last week.
