The docuseries talks with family and friends of Dave and Lois, and you get backstory on their relationship and how they fit into the community in Blooming Prairie.

You also get a backstory to Lôis' early days growing up in a household with a mother who was a hoarder and diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder. Her father was an engineer with IBM, but Lois said he was hardly home and stingy with the money that was earned.
