Popular Scooter Sold In Minnesota Has Been Recalled
We are starting to get short glimpses of warmer weather, and I know folks around Central Minnesota are already starting to venture out for walks around their neighborhood. I’ve seen more and more people on their bikes around the area as well.

Kids and adults alike will soon be spending a lot more time on their bikes and scooters, zooming through the streets and parks. Please, keep in mind that you’ll soon be seeing more and more of them around.
On the note of scooters, if you have a Segway Ninebot Max G30P and G30LP kick scooter, you need to be aware that these models have been recalled.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that a mechanism in the handlebar can malfunction and cause the handlebar to close while it is in use.
The G30P model is black with yellow accents, while the G30LP is gray with yellow accents. Both have the name “ninebot” written on the handlebars and on the foot platform.
The G30P is 46 inches long, 19 inches wide and 47 inches high and weighs 42 pounds. The G30LP model is 44 inches long, 19 inches wide and 45 inches high and weighs 39 pounds.
Thus far, there have been 68 incidents reported surrounding these scooters malfunctioning with 20 of those reporting injuries such as broken bones, cuts and bruises.
These scooters were widely sold at places like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Costco, Target and Sam’s Club.
If you own one of these Segway Ninebot Max scooters, you are asked to contact Segway to determine if you need a free repair kit which will include all the tools to complete the repair.
