What were you doing last June? Starting to enjoy the nice weather around Minnesota? Most likely so. A lot has happened since then. We had a nice summer, and a much colder winter than the year before.

The Timberwolves and The Vikings had great seasons, and the Wolves have started another season that isn’t quite living up to last year's run.

People turned out in droves to attend the Minnesota State Fair in August. The fair set records on five individual days and hosted nearly 2 million visitors overall, which was the fifth best in the history of the fair.

There are also women in the area who are close to delivering the baby that was conceived last June. Most are probably thankful they got through the warmer months before their pregnancy moved into the later stages.

Also, last June, two American astronauts went into space for a week. But that week has turned into a nine-month journey. Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore have been “hanging out” for nine months, and hope to “birthed” back to earth in the next week or two according to PBS News.

NASA is trying to get the replacements into space so the two crews can spend a week together before Williams and Wilmore can return home.

The Summer Olympics took place in Paris, they had to cast their ballot for the Presidential Election from space, missed the entire NFL season including the Super Bowl.

And we can’t forget they celebrated Christmas and saw the New Year come in from afar.

I’m not sure how their conditions compared to the cold temp’s we had here in Minnesota during January and especially February.

But when you look at all the things that I’ve listed above that have taken place since last June, it’s pretty incredible they’ve been there this long and still aren’t back yet.

Does anyone else have the theme for Gilligan's Island playing in their head? Or maybe, “Lost In Space”?
